Two senior industry figures join Perspective
Sam Ward joins as Head of Mergers & Acquisitions becoming a main Board director alongside Ian Wilkinson, Chief Executive Officer, David Hesketh, Chief Financial Officer and Julie Hepworth, Chief Regulatory Officer.
Sam will provide further leadership for the Group’s highly active acquisitions programme which has completed 80 acquisitions since the Group was founded 16 years ago.
Sam has 15 years of financial services experience, including the last 10 years as an M&A advisor. He joins Perspective from Houlihan Lokey where he worked on a number of transactions in the UK wealth management sector, which included advising the shareholders of Perspective on their recent transaction with Charlesbank Capital Partners (Charlesbank). He is also a chartered accountant, having started his career at EY.

Sam said: “Perspective stands out as a leading business in what is a busy market. I have long admired their successful execution of a focused strategy, their compelling proposition for clients and staff, and the solid foundations that have been built to grow further.
“I’ve had the privilege of working closely with Ian, David, Julie and the rest of the Perspective team as part of the Charlesbank investment process, and I was therefore really pleased to be given the opportunity to join them at such an exciting time in the Group’s journey. Their unity as a Board, their unassuming approach, and their ability and drive to get things done, all give me great confidence that Perspective’s best years still lie ahead.”
Martyn Davey joins as Regional Operations Director from Hurst Point Group where he held roles including Head of Advice with responsibility for over 100 financial planners. Previously with Gallagher, Martyn was Managing Director of Argentis Financial Management, subsequently acquired by Hurst Point Group in 2020.
Martyn said: “I am delighted to join the Group as it embarks on its next phase of development. I’m impressed by the client-centric approach and relish the opportunity to contribute to its future success.”
Ian Wilkinson, Chief Executive Officer said: “We warmly welcome Sam and Martyn to the Group. They both bring considerable experience which will be especially valuable as we continue to extend our leadership position amongst client-centric financial planning firms for both clients and staff.
