Budget, What Budget?

 

Chancellor Rishi Sunak has confirmed the details of this years Autumn budget with regards to the governments tax and spending plans for the year ahead.

Mr Sunak said his plans were focused on the “post-Covid” era and would pave the way for an “economy of higher wages, higher skills, and rising productivity”.

We have listened carefully to the reports announced on Wednesday 27th October and produced a brief commentary highlighting the key topics that have been discussed.

In terms of Personal Finance, we are pleased to confirm that no news is good news. So often, we have had to manage changes to taxation, pension legislation tinkering or IHT rules being created. Therefore, it is sometimes quite a relief to announce that nothing has changed concerning any of these personal financial planning matters.
