Alison Beardsell

Alison joined Perspective (North East) Limited in November 2025.

With over 21 years of experience in Financial Services—including 17 years as a qualified advisor—Alison brings extensive technical and advisory expertise to the team. After graduating from university, she built her career across a variety of roles including technical paraplanning, managing a paraplanning team, and mentoring junior advisors. This breadth of experience has given her a deep understanding of both complex financial planning and the practical realities of supporting clients throughout their financial journey.

Alison achieved Chartered Financial Planner status in 2022 and is now working towards her Fellowship of the Personal Finance Society. She is also currently progressing with the Pension Transfer and Long-Term Care qualifications to further strengthen her specialist knowledge.

In her role as a Financial Planner, Alison works closely with clients to understand their aims and objectives, assess their current financial position, and develop clear, tailored plans that support their needs both now and in the future. She continues to review these plans regularly, ensuring they remain suitable as circumstances change. What interests her most is getting to know clients personally, learning about their lives, and providing clarity through personalised, high‑quality advice.

What Alison enjoys most about her role is building trusted, long‑term relationships with clients, helping them identify what truly matters to them, and putting a plan in place that allows them to focus on enjoying life with confidence and peace of mind.

At Perspective, Alison supports clients by listening deeply, offering holistic advice across all areas of financial planning, and helping individuals understand their financial position clearly. She has significant experience in at‑retirement planning and works to ensure pensions and assets are structured tax‑efficiently to support a sustainable and enjoyable retirement.

Outside of work, Alison enjoys a busy family life with her two sons, often spending time taking them to sports and activities. She also enjoys walking, reading, and baking.
