Acquisitions Accountant

Back to search
Sarah Carruthers

Sarah joined our acquisitions team in April 2022 after hearing about our impressive growth and success. Sarah wanted to be a part of something exciting and to be pushed to reach her full potential.

She has worked in accounting and finance for over 10 years, starting off as an Apprentice and working her way up to Management Accountant in 2018. Sarah was heavily involved in acquisitions in that role and developed a bit of a passion for the diversity of it. She has also worked as a finance partner in the public sector.

Sarah’s role as Acquisitions Accountant is to carry out the financial due diligence on potential acquisitions, focusing on the current client bank and future prospects of the business. Sarah is also involved in the integration of new acquisitions, helping to collate the client data needed to ensure that the change is as smooth as possible and that we are able to service the new clients going forward. This work is particularly interesting for her as she gets to meet the business owners very early on in the process and learn all about them and their business. No two companies are the same and Sarah enjoys the variety and scope of the work she does. She is a self-professed Excel lover and relishes in the challenges that come with data manipulation.

Sarah has a passion for the outdoors and regularly goes hiking and camping. She is also a big gamer, pet lover and enjoys decorating her house with lots of colour and eclectic décor.
